Doggone Farm- New Doggie Daycare & Hotel
  • My husband and I are starting a Doggie Daycare & Hotel. We will officially open later this year, but we are already getting started! Doggone Farm will be run out of our home in Green Township (40min from Maplewood off rt 80w). We offer a Pick-up/Drop off service to our beautiful 3 acre FENCED-IN property. We have a large indoor play room for the dogs and 3 bedroom suites. We are completely CAGE-FREE. Your dog must have all vaccinations, be healthy, extremely well socialized, and house-broken to stay with us. All dogs must complete and pass an interview to participate in daycare or stay overnight. Our space is EXTREMELY limited (max 10 dogs at one time) so we can provide true one-on-one care with each dog each day, and so we can create the best possible environment for the dogs and ourselves. We are a home, not a facility. Please visit www.facebook.com/doggonefarm for more info & pictures. Email doggone.farm@yahoo.com for quotes or with questions.

best of luck with this new venture!
  • oH man how great!!!! So will you also board for extended times? Like three weeks?
  • absolutely pixigirl!
  • Starting this weekend, Jan 21st, through our tentative official opening 6/2/2012, we will be holding meet & greets, every weekend at Doggone Farm. This is a great opportunity for anyone with a socialized dog to meet us and tour our home. After we officially open there will be a small doggie interview charge, so please come visit beforehand to avoid this! You will be welcome to spend as much time as you'd like and really get a feel for what your dog's experience will be like with us! Feel free to email anytime to set up a specific time. doggone.farm@yahoo.com.

  • Best of luck! We will definitely keep you in mind for our travels this summer. Will you offer any volume discounts for those of us with more than one dog?
  • Thanks weridbeard! Yes we will absolutely offer discounts! Both for families with multiple dogs and for people who book extended stays :)
  • trying to take a rest after lots of playing!

  • We have decided to offer the option for families with multiple pets to reserve an entire "doggie suite" ($135/day). While only dogs will be allowed outside the suite we will gladly accept cats and other small pets and see that they also get the love and attention they need :)

  • The rubber flooring has finally arrived for our indoor playroom! It will be great for the dogs (and their joints!) when they romp around inside. Pictures to come soon :)
  • A short delay in the arrival of our agility equipment :( but we anticipate having our grand opening in the next few weeks! Look for our post announcing the date, and then feel free to bring your whole family for a day of doggie romping and fun!
  • for some reason I'm having trouble posting pics here, but will try again shortly...uploading them to our facebook page now, 4 labs and 1 doberman had a great time swimming in our pond all afternoon :)

  • Is the outside area fenced? My poodle is an escape artist and is not great at coming when called.
  • Carolanne - the outside area is fenced in and there's a really secure gate. That's my Bailey in the bottom right of the photo above!
  • You should take out an ad
  • Good idea, donewiththebs, I certainly will once we have officially opened. We thought everyone would love to see some pictures though, and just know that a place like us exists!
@carolanne, yes we are completely fenced and we'd be happy to give you and your dog a tour and interview, but we usually suggest people with "escape artists" use a typical facility or have someone stay in their home.
    @Ceidefields...can't wait for Bailey's next visit! :)

You went about a year or so promoting your business on a thread without taking out an ad, why not give these folks a "grace period" also.

  • I wish you a lot of luck with your new pet sanctuary, it looks very very nice.

I also see 9 other pet services on the main MOL page. I'm not sure of the ad costs on this site, but I feel you should hop on over to that form of publicity at this point.

I did? I joined the site last October and took an ad out the same month. On what planet do you count years in?

You were promoting your business using your previous username long before last October.
  • Do we really need to let him ruin every single thread?
  • I joined under MetalArt on August 28, 2011 How is that long before last October. You should really know what your talking about before you open your mouth.
@meand, How did I ruin the thread by suggesting the OP take out an ad when lots of people besides myself recommend it to others all the time. I also wasn't aware that I post in every thread but if you have a problem with it you can always buy out Dave and Jamie and pick and choose who you want on this message board. I remember not so long ago you were looking to make some extra money and I reached out to you to see if I could help so what's your problem with me?
