Secret Service, Marines and prostitutes

    I wish the press would stop with the carrying on about the Secret Service and Marines and prostitutes like this is something new under the Sun. A visitor from Mars might get the impression that this sort of thing is very unusual. As far as I can tell, the only outrage is the way they treated the prostitutes - not paying, etc.

    Maybe I am a little cynical, but I have always assumed that the behavior being ranted about was common practice. I am curious though, do all security details from all other countries have the same culture/practice?

    Lisa, who knows? Look at the Saudis - a woman walks around in a halter top and gets thrown in jail back home, but some of those guys come to the US and bang every stripper they can get their hands on. Regarding security details, I don't know... in a silly sort of way, I guess (if asked) I would have said that the guys should do their business... to coin a term... but not bring the girls back to the 'official' hotel.

    You're not concerned with the safety of the POTUS? Apparently many of the Secret Service staff were drunk on their asses, and brought prostitutes back to their hotel rooms-the same hotel where the POTUS would be staying in a day or two.

    Just because nothing happened this time doesn't mean this wasn't a huge deal, not to mention the real embarrassment the USA was exposed to at the conference.

    Right, but the press seems to be focused on the salacious aspects of the whole business rather than on security risks.

    What's wrong with her neck? It does not match her face!

    But I do agree she is very pretty.

    The one thing that struck me about the whole "shebang" was the group arrangement for the prostitutes. Is there a group rate discount? It seemed so frat house. Whatever happened to getting serviced one on one? Is the typical Secret Service agent that young?
